Setting up SMTP email for Office 365

You can use eFORMz to send plain text and HTML email through your Office 365 account.

  1. Edit eFORMz.ini in the \Minisoft\eFORMz_6 folder. The following line, or a similar one, is in the file:

    .\bin\javaw.exe -mx1024M -ms128M -Xbootclasspath/p:PrintServiceFixer7.jar -Xbootclasspath/a:jars\mail.jar

  2. Change the line to include these additional options:.\bin\javaw.exe -mx1024M -ms128M -Xbootclasspath/p:PrintServiceFixer7.jar-Xbootclasspath/a:jars\mail.jar -Dmail.transport.protocol=smtps -Dmail.smtp.auth=true -Dmail.smtp.starttls.enable=true -Dmail.smtp.ssl.enable=true -Dmail.smtp.connectiontimeout=20000 -Dmail.smtp.timeout=20000 -Dmail.smtp.ssl.trust=smtp.office365.com

  3. In the eDirect JavaMail SMTP Host field, use smtp.office365.com:587. If port 587 does not work, use 25. The From email address must be recognized by the Office 365 server. Enter an authorized user ID and password on the SMTP Options tab. You must enter the full email address, for example: david.oberstadt@minisoft.com.
