Web Service POST Call Output Advantages
Last Updated on by
What is the advantage of using a web service call to return output from a eFORMz project? An implementation of the eFORMz API has several benefits, including storage space optimization, reducing wait times and easy accessibility. For example, warehouse workstations would not have to save a file for the directory to process because eFORMz would access the information through a web service call. This would result in less storage space being used. Since there is no file to be searched and processed this also eliminates time.
eFORMz can connect to remote systems over http or https protocols to get data from remote servers. There’s no need to write new code or configure a database connection. The web service provider determines the URL syntax, including key value pairs (KVPs) to send. eFORMz on a server is versatile in the aspect that eFORMz can be called from multiple workstations in different locations that can create a web service call to generate output, such as shipping labels, packing slips, etc.
